Tulsa Mortgage : Podcast 138 – Part 1

Tulsa Mortgage Speaker 1: This is SteveCurrington.com. In the Steven Tyler show episode number 138.
Speaker 2: Welcome to the Steven Tyler show. With SteveCurrington.com and Tyler Widener.
Steve: Who negotiated the contract for you?
Tyler: A Realtor.
Steve: Oh. You’re very smart.
Tyler: Yeah.
Steve: Well good for you man.
Speaker 2: They’re talking about everything you need to know about mortgages, home loans and more. Nobody knows mortgages like these two. Get ready because here’s Steve and Tyler.
Steve: Broadcasting live from the Koala Studios in Jinx America. Hey, we’re in the Thrive Time Studio. Tyler I feel very fortunate that we get to record our podcast in such a great studio.
This is, by the way if you are listening, today we’re talking about why you don’t hire an inexperienced realtor. So why don’t you hire an inexperienced realtor? So that’s going to be the subject. Right. Okay.
But more importantly look at this great studio that we get to record our podcast in. Like a lot of like other lower humans have to go into dark rooms and holes to record podcasts. We’re in the box that rocks. It’s exciting. We got Sam over here running all the sound. Doing all the stuff. We got Prince and the Revolution. We can jam to it. A little bit loud but we can jam to it.
Tulsa Mortgage And so if you’re listening on iTunes. We’re talking about why you don’t hire an inexperienced realtor. If you’re watching on Total NNU. This is a great opportunity for you as a loan officer to find out. Why it’s important that you make sure your client is working with an agent that know what they are doing. Now, we’ve kinda talked about this before. But I should talk about it once every ten podcasts. We should have … If we have a thousand podcasts. A hundred of them should be about choosing a realtor.
Tyler: Yeah.
Steve: Would you agree?
Tyler: Oh yeah.
Steve: Tyler why. Okay. This is part of our intro. It says “who negotiated the contract for you?” And what did you say Ty?
Tyler: A realtor.
Steve: A realtor. Hey, good for you. Right? That’s what I said. So Tyler has some experience. Right. Tyler’s actually had his real estate license and knows Tulsa Mortgage some stuff. But when you bought your house, did you negotiate the contract?
Tyler: Kinda, in a way. But …
Steve: You had a realtor as well?
Tyler: Yeah.
Steve: But why did you have a realtor?
Tyler: It’s just a smart thing to do. Why would you want to deal directly with somebody. Or deal with somebody else’s realtor who is not working for you. Tulsa Mortgage They’re working for somebody else. You’re just a guy who came along and wants to buy what they’re trying to sell.
Steve: Yeah.
Tyler: Doesn’t make sense.
Steve: So what you’re saying is because I already know this. But what you’re saying is that there is value to having a professional.
Tyler: Absolutely.
Steve: On your … Working to your benefit. Now, you want to make sure that this person, this professional that you choose is a professional. Now, Nancy, Cindy, Sally, Bobby, Johnny great people. Got their real estate license yesterday. Got no problem with ’em.
Tyler: Maybe they’ll be great.
Steve: Maybe they will. Maybe. But I’ve said this before. Okay. I don’t care what it is that you’re doing. Let’s say, let’s say. Sam what do you think about this? Let’s say we’re going to have my kidney taken out. I’m going to have my kidney taken out this week. Yeah, it’s just giving me problems. You know. Maybe I need a new kidney. Tyler’s going to give me the kidney. And so a buddy of mine just got his doctor license. He just graduated. This is great. I can get a discount. On getting my kidney removed.
Tyler: You mean like he was an intern yesterday?
Steve: Yeah.
Tyler: And today he’s not.
Steve: Yeah. He’d been through school and all that. I mean what’s the big deal. I mean … He used a scalpel on a frog probably. And a ferret or whatever they dissect when you’re going through medical school. I don’t know. I didn’t go through medical school. I only went to college for two days. I don’t know.
I’m just saying the guy’s a doctor. He’s a frickin’ doctor. This is amazing. Because look at my luck. I happen to need a kidney out. And my best friend is a doctor. This is great. Now, I’m obviously being facetious. The last thing you would want to do is hire a doctor that just got out of medical school to start cutting on your body. Because it’s probably not going to end well. You’re probably going to die.
There’s a guy who gave himself liposuction in his garage. He bought all the stuff. And he gave himself liposuction and he died of an infection or something. I don’t know what it was.
Tyler: Oh.
Steve: But it was bad. Like he literally … He was liposuctioning himself. I don’t know. Don’t try this at home folks. If you are listening. But I’m being really Tulsa Mortgage silly about this whole doctor thing.
Because luckily when you are buying a house in real estate. You are not going to die. Right. If you don’t have someone representing you. But … That’s good. But you might … You might overpay for the house. Probably likely. You may not be able to negotiate the things that you wanted because you have someone who’s inexperienced. Listen.
I do not dog someone who is inexperienced. Okay. I have met many, many realtors that don’t have a lot of experience. That are hustlers. That are bulldogs when it comes to negotiating. They just haven’t sold real estate. That’s okay. I’m not saying that. I’m just saying, Tyler who do you want in your corner when you are making the largest financial decision you will ever make in your life. Second to the next house you buy.
Are you gonna hire the soccer mom. No offense, Nancy if you’re a soccer mom. Like is bored and decided to go get their real estate license. And they’ve Tulsa Mortgage literally never sold a house ever?
